About the event
The LIBERATE Research Team is offering a 1-hour, INTERACTIVE lifestyle medicine class on campus on how to best manage your Type 2 Diabetes using lifestyle as medicine!
WE WILL BE COVERING HOW TO:
Use food to manage your glucose levels Use movement and exercise to help lower and maintain great blood glucose levels (i.e., what, how much, etc.?) Understand and manage your blood glucose targets with food and exercise
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
At the end of the class (~45 minutes), we will explain a clinical trial research opportunity that we are currently recruiting for. If you're interested, we will place you on a list and follow-up with you later!
WHAT IS THE LIBERATE STUDY?
The LIBERATE study is looking at the effects of a virtual Type 2 diabetes lifestyle program that uses wearable technology (fitness trackers, continuous blood glucose monitors) and behavioural coaching.
